Research-based, not hands-on
Screen Free Zone is a research-based review site at launch. We do not personally test every product we review. Reviews are based on:
Where a specific claim depends on a particular source type, we indicate it in the review text ("according to manufacturer specifications," "based on user reports," etc.). We do not write "we tested" or "in our hands-on review" unless that is literally true.
How we frame a recommendation
We don't grade products with a pass/fail label. Every review lays out what a product does well, where the real trade-offs are, and who it actually suits — so you can weigh it against what you need, rather than take a single word for it. The "Who should buy it" and "Who should skip it" sections in each review carry the specific judgment calls that matter for your situation.
What "Bottom line" means
The "Bottom line" at the top of every review is a single-sentence summary of what the product is and the core reason it does or doesn't fit a given use case. It is written to be accurate in isolation — if you read nothing else in the review, the bottom line should tell you whether it's worth your time and why.
Review cadence and last-reviewed dates
Every review displays a "Last reviewed" date, which reflects the most recent date we verified the review content against current product information. We aim to review products when significant changes occur — price, features, availability, or competitor landscape — or at least annually. If you notice that a product has changed since its last review date, email us at contact@screenfreezone.com .
Affiliate links and editorial independence
Some links on Screen Free Zone are affiliate links. When you buy through an affiliate link, we may earn a commission. This does not affect what we say about a product — we review products with and without affiliate programs in the same way, and a critical assessment stays critical regardless of any affiliate relationship. Corrections
We correct factual errors when they are identified. If you believe a review contains an inaccuracy, email contact@screenfreezone.com with the specific claim and a credible source. We will review and correct promptly.
